The deadline for submitting a manuscript to our 2018 chapbook series has come and gone with a flurry of submissions just before September 1st. We received an excellent response to our call for submissions, and I want to thank everyone who took the time this summer to submit their chapbook manuscripts to Junction Books. Junction Books is pleased to announce the second chapbook in our new series, which will be published in July, 2017. The chapbook is called Flood Lands, and it contains six poems and a short story by Faye Guenther. I have long been a fan of Faye’s writing, so it is a great pleasure to be able to publish this chapbook. Special thanks go to Adrienne Weiss, who edited the chapbook, and to Blaise Moritz for proofreading. The book will be printed at Coach House Printing on 70 lb Zephyr Antique Laid and perfect bound in a cover of Mohawk Via Felt, with 80 lb Strathmore Black endpapers

Meet The Presses’ Indie Literary Market will be happening this Saturday, November 16, noon to 4:30 p.m. at the Tranzac Club (292 Brunswick Ave.). Junction Books will be participating, along with a bunch of other small press publishers, and there will be a lot of cool literary artifacts to purchase, including poetry and fiction books and chapbooks, and one-of-a-kind broadsides. This will be the first time since 2004 that Junction Books will have new publications to sell: a chapbook by Adrienne Weiss titled Production 1060: The Oz Monologues, and a screen-printed broadside by A. F. Moritz. So please come by and check out Junction Books and the other great indie presses at the market this Saturday! Cheers!

Junction Books is pleased to announce the first chapbook to be published since 2004: Production 1060: The Oz Monologues by Adrienne Weiss. We hope to have the chapbook available by the end of June, but are unsure exactly how much time it will take for production since we are printing and binding it ourselves. The print-run for the chapbook – 10 hardcovers and 41 softcovers – will inaugurate the new Junction Books imprint, Editions 10:41. The chapbook will also be made available for a limited time as a print-on-demand title if the original print-run sells out
