Junction Books is pleased to announce the first chapbook to be published since 2004: Production 1060: The Oz Monologues by Adrienne Weiss. We hope to have the chapbook available by the end of June, but are unsure exactly how much time it will take for production since we are printing and binding it ourselves. The print-run for the chapbook – 10 hardcovers and 41 softcovers – will inaugurate the new Junction Books imprint, Editions 10:41. The chapbook will also be made available for a limited time as a print-on-demand title if the original print-run sells out.
Book description:
What happens when an actor becomes so inexplicably connected to, defined by, and identified with his or her portrayal of a character in film? In the case of The Wizard of Oz, complete submersion. The monologues of Production 1060 imagine the lives of Oz’s famous actors and their alternative selves both on and off set, further blurring the lines of identity, performance, and real life.
