Submissions

2019 Submissions are now open.

Junction Books is now accepting submissions of poetry chapbook manuscripts for the 2019 publishing year. The submissions deadline is: August 1st, 2018. All submissions should be emailed as PDF files to: info@junctionbooks.ca. Please make sure your name and email address appear in the header of each page of the PDF.

Please note that individual poems in the manuscript can be previously published in journals or anthologies, but the manuscript as a whole cannot be previously published in chapbook or book form.

Junction Books publishes poetry by Canadian writers. We are particularly interested in poem sequences, but any collection of poems can be submitted. Our chapbooks are usually 32–40 pages long, so the manuscript should include fifteen to twenty-five poems, depending on their length. Please be aware that we are a very small press with limited resources, so we expect poets to help market and sell their chapbooks.

We will respond to all submissions to confirm that they have been received. We are unsure how many chapbooks we will be able to publish in 2019; a lot of it depends on how well sales go this year, or whether any new patrons sign up to support our publishing program. But we know we’ll at least be able to publish two chapbooks in 2019. We hope to have our 2019 line up chosen by October 1, 2018.
